The increase of fiber cost in producing 1T basalt fiber asphalt mixture is about 70 yuan, while the price of 1T SBS modified asphalt mixture is about 470 yuan, and the increased cost only takes up about 15%
The new material and new technology of high-performance basalt fiber asphalt mixture is mainly applied in new construction, reconstruction and maintenance projects. The initial cost of new pavement materials is slightly increased, but it can significantly improve the pavement quality, greatly extend the service life, extend the maintenance cycle and save maintenance cost.
